Spectators: 6050 (Terracing: 4650, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 0) Quartel's Dagoberto Veiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Andrézinho Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edgard Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Quartel's Agostinho Quaresma got a free kick in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, MAIOR DE MINAS's goalkeeper Jorge Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Léo de Medeiros. MAIOR DE MINAS's Jorge Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save MAIOR DE MINAS from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the game, Andrézinho Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Quartel's Dagoberto Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dagoberto Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Quartel's Edgard Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Rodrigues in the 35th minute of play. When Léo de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Quartel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léo de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Quartel booed when MAIOR DE MINAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Luís Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Matheus Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Wilton Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Luís Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgard Sá saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Quartel getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Léo de Medeiros hit a great ball. Wilton Saldanha hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Edgard Sá was a little too slow when Andrézinho Melo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-4. After 68 played minutes Quartel got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Quaresma. Quartel's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Luís Mesquita scored to the left of an out of position Edgard Sá, making the score, 0-5. Edgard Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Matheus Rodrigues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Sá came out and tried to block the shot, but Matheus Rodrigues slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 78th minute. Edgard Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Sá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natanael Varela in the 90th minute. In the 91st match minute, Quartel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias Zilles to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Matheus Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dagoberto Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jorge Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Sá was a little too slow when Matheus Rodrigues got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-7. When the match was over MAIOR DE MINAS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Quartel throughout the match.
