Ciro Tinoco came out of the goal and Inácio Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Inácio Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Ciro Tinoco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Emerson Gonçalves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eurico Velasco went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. If Ramiro Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Augusto de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Gonçalves having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, DarKGalax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Varela to maneuver through the defense. Inácio Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
