Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hortêncio Rosa took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yan de Queirós during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes Joaquim got a freekick which was hit by Yan de Queirós. In the 4th minute, Naldo Peixoto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Reinaldo Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Rosa in the 10th minute of the match. Leandro Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Peixoto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 15th playminute. Carlos Fernando Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Fonseca having to interfere. Naldo Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Naldo Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes, Joaquim's Cleiton Queiroz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reinaldo Aparecido came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Joaquim reached it. Reinaldo Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute Hortêncio Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Denílson Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Dionísio notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Joaquim's Leandro Fonseca. Leandro Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 48 minutes into the game, Copioba's Carlos Fernando Dionísio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leandro Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
After having played for 55 minutes, Carlos Fernando Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Copioba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Fernando Dionísio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dagoberto de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Leandro Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Naldo Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Copioba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naldo Peixoto couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Naldo Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Copioba's supporters rose to their feet, but Naldo Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dagoberto de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim's Leandro Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Peixoto in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Joaquim's Luís Eduardo Nóbrega got a free kick in the 76th minute. Leandro Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Naldo Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Copioba fans jumped to their feet. Reinaldo Aparecido made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Denílson Freire sent off a good shot on target. Miguel Cruz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the game, Naldo Peixoto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Leandro Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Copioba booed when Joaquim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Joaquim's zone, Carlos Fernando Dionísio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Fonseca came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dagoberto de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Copioba's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
