The referee ignored Sport Clube Neverland's protests and gave Rodriguinho Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. Rodriguinho Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Ronaldinho Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Guedes in the 14th minute of play forced Sport Clube Neverland's goalkeeper Xalbador Colombres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Vítor Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marco Pernambucano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 23 played minutes Farrapo Fantasma FC got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Pena. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Guedes in the 29th minute of play forced Sport Clube Neverland's goalkeeper Xalbador Colombres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xalbador Colombres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Vítor Fernandez's late challenge caught a Farrapo Fantasma FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor Fernandez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Vítor Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sport Clube Neverland were furious when Simão Quirino was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Sport Clube Neverland:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Farrapo Fantasma FC:s goal. Sport Clube Neverland's Xalbador Colombres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Queirós in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sport Clube Neverland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Glauco Pena was slow to take the kick. During this time Farrapo Fantasma FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 66th minute, Anselmo Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amauri Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Isaltino Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Clube Neverland's protests and gave Isaltino Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Sport Clube Neverland got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Paranaense. Denílson Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Xalbador Colombres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Farrapo Fantasma FC were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Sport Clube Neverland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Glauco Pena took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Glauco Pena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Xalbador Colombres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 88thth minute of the game Anselmo Cerezo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farrapo Fantasma FC's Marco Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Guedes got free with Xalbador Colombres in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Amauri Guedes could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Xalbador Colombres however easily saved by the left post. Many of Farrapo Fantasma FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Farrapo Fantasma FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Sport Clube Neverland were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
