Igualdade SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fellipe Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerson Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Carvalho in the 9th minute of the match. A hard shot 12 in the game by Fellipe Hermes from a close distance when the talented Gerson Diniz managed to make a qualified save. União Futebol clube's players were relieved. When Flavinho Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the União Futebol clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho Velasco couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Diogo Tróia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Flavinho Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. União Futebol clube's Diogo Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Igualdade SS's zone, Flavinho Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Correia came out of the goal and Flavinho Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Tróia in the 28th minute of play forced Igualdade SS's goalkeeper Richard Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Diogo Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Luan Carvalho lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Gerson Diniz. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luan Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Flavinho Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Igualdade SS's Gustavo Donatello got a free kick in the 65th minute. After recieving a nice pass, União Futebol clube's Umberto Leão tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Diogo Tróia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Richard Correia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Igualdade SS's Richard Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Igualdade SS from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Tróia got free with Richard Correia in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Igualdade SS's zone, Flavinho Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Correia came out of the goal and Flavinho Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Igualdade SS's Richard Correia got control of the ball when Diogo Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Durval Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Correia having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Igualdade SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of União Futebol clube:s goal. Luan Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Fellipe Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Igualdade SS's Richard Correia got control of the ball when Diogo Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Igualdade SS succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though União Futebol clube had controlled the match.
