The audience was convinced that Leonardo Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Eger was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Osmar Maciel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanni Eger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. After 6 played minutes Salinas FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Paranaense. After 7 played minutes Ferradas got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Rocha. Osmar Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Jacinto Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salinas FC's goalkeeper Geovanni Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geovanni Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafinha Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Hílton Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salinas FC. Luís Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Pires having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ferradas's Jacinto Penha got a free kick in the 21st minute. Hílton Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Britto in the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ferradas's zone, Rafinha Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Pires came out of the goal and Rafinha Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovanni Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Maciel in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Luiz Paulo Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osmar Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Eger having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafinha Tepedino got free with Hílton Pires in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salinas FC's Geovanni Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Maciel in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Salinas FC's Rafinha Tepedino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hílton Pires made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Geovanni Eger made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Leonardo Rocha sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Jacinto Penha had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Paulo Paranaense during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Salinas FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Paranaense hit a great ball. Osmar Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Eger having to interfere. Geovanni Eger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reginaldo de Brito in the 59th minute. A collision led to Salinas FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Paranaense hit a great ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salinas FC's goalkeeper Geovanni Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Luís Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osmar Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes, Gláuber Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferradas and the Salinas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Osmar Maciels short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Geovanni Eger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Salinas FC's zone, Osmar Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovanni Eger came out of the goal and Osmar Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Ferradas fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Ferradas's Osmar Maciel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st minute, Salinas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Osmar Maciel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 93rd minute, Ferradas's Reginaldo de Brito ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geovanni Eger. Geovanni Eger yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Ferradas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
