In the 4th match minute, Caico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Pereira to maneuver through the defense. After 8 minutes of play, Bitaculo AD's Andrézinho Mello made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edson Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Baptista during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Bitaculo AD got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Baptista. After some careless play in the Bitaculo AD defense, Eduardo Mandrak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio Trigo. The Bitaculo AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio Trigo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Mandrak in the 20th minute of play forced Bitaculo AD's goalkeeper Márcio Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrézinho Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edson Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrézinho Mello in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edson Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eduardo Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Márcio Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Mandrak got free with Márcio Trigo in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugênio Nunes in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edson Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, Bitaculo AD's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Marquez came free, but Márcio Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Bitaculo AD's goalkeeper Márcio Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Mandrak. Eduardo Mandrak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Márcio Trigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Mandrak slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 33rd minute. Rubinho Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Caico defense, Andrézinho Mello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edson Tasso. The Caico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edson Tasso should have stopped the shot. Andrézinho Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Márcio Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 70 played minutes Caico got a freekick which was hit by César Loyola. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Lauro Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauro Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Márcio Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrézinho Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Márcio Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Márcio Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Marquez in the 82nd minute of play. Andrézinho Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Tasso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bitaculo AD's zone, Lauro Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Trigo came out of the goal and Lauro Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugênio Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Edson Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caico succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bitaculo AD had controlled the match.
