Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the match, João Augusto Vinhas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bugres's Raí de Amorim. Raí de Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Garci Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute of the match, Daniel Abreu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Garci Feliu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Naldo Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Bugres's Raí de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Chrobak in the 17th minute of play. Raí de Amorim came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by BELO HORIZONTE's Ryszard Chrobak. But to his dismay, Ryszard Chrobak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Coutinho during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raí de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Vinhas in the 23rd minute of play forced Bugres's goalkeeper Raí de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Bugres's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Leal came free, but Raí de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Ryszard Chrobak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raí de Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Abreu to strike the kick off in the second half. Raí de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Augusto Vinhas in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Abreu in the 61st minute of play forced BELO HORIZONTE's goalkeeper Garci Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute of the game Joel Teles made a throw-in which Carlos Alberto Tevez played forward. BELO HORIZONTE's Garci Feliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Abreu in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Ryszard Chrobak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raí de Amorim. The goal made the score 0-4. With 83 minutes on the clock, Zé Tande commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 84 minutes into the match, Humberto Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raí de Amorim. Bugres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. When Bugres's Daniel Abreu in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BELO HORIZONTE's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90thth minute of the game Daniel Abreu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BELO HORIZONTE's Garci Feliu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st match minute, BELO HORIZONTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. In the 92ndth minute of the game Daniel Abreu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BELO HORIZONTE's Garci Feliu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 93 played minutes BELO HORIZONTE got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Coutinho. Raí de Amorim came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by BELO HORIZONTE's Ryszard Chrobak. But to his dismay, Ryszard Chrobak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. BELO HORIZONTE played a much better game than Bugres and deserved their victory. The Bugres players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
