The supporters of Chucky Boneco booed when Jequie SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Pinho struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Leonel Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chucky Boneco. Leonel Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur do Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Hudson Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jequie SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Hudson Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur do Vale in the 45th minute of play forced Jequie SS's goalkeeper Leonel Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hudson Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The wind increased when Jarbas Penha made the kick off in the second half. Ciro Bittencourt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarbas Penha went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Leonel Pires made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Arthur do Vale sent off a good shot on target. Arthur do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Leonel Pires made a huge save. Manuel Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel Pires having to make a save. In the 76th minute, Hudson Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jequie SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience was convinced that Jarbas Penha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciro Bittencourt was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. If Arthur do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jequie SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
