In the 30th minute, Álvaro Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulinho Tasso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ernesto Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Schmidt in the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Cristian Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ganhei Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Schmidt in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ernesto Lago, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cristian Schmidt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ernesto Lago made a huge save. Ernesto Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ernesto Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, Apertado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson de Barros to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
