Aveiro's Pedro Luiz Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Diniz in the 9th minute of play. Doni Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Quadros in the 22nd minute of the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aveiro reached it. When Márcio Matorin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played.
