Agenor Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Campidelis in the 13th minute of the match. Dalmo Bueno charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmo Bueno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Alfredinho Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Roma Alviverde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredinho Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Ricardinho Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agenor Saraiva didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Fabiano Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Agenor Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardinho Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute of the match Leandro Mendes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiago de Godoy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 43 played minutes Voturantim got a freekick which was hit by Matías da Silva. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabiano Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiago de Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho Seco in the 52nd minute of play. Agenor Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Freire in the 58th minute of the match. Ricardinho Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Voturantim's Tiago de Godoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Voturantim from getting a goal against them. Voturantim's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Serginho Seco 67 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Lino Bertassi was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lino Bertassi hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Ricardinho Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Agenor Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fernandinho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardinho Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agenor Saraiva having to interfere. Fabiano Freire hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With his leg Tiago de Godoy managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Roma Alviverde's Alfredinho Nascimento fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alfredinho Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandre Batista hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes, Voturantim's Matías da Silva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agenor Saraiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Voturantim reached it. Ricardinho Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Agenor Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredinho Nascimento who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Tiago de Godoy when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
