Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Erasmo Negri got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Baleia FC booed when CasalGremista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yan Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dida Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Kiko Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes CasalGremista got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Silveira. 18 minutes into the match, Erasmo Negri notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Baleia FC's Dida Figueiredo. Dida Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kiko Novaes during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Baleia FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kiko Novaes hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Gonçalo Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Erasmo Negri came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the CasalGremista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Negri couldn't finish the play. CasalGremista's Cacá Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save CasalGremista from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Negri during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to CasalGremista getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Erasmo Negri hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Kiko Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baleia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kiko Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gonçalo Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CasalGremista's protests and gave Gonçalo Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes CasalGremista got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Silveira. Cacá Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Yan Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yan Lima made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Baleia FC were awarded a corner. Carlos Eduardo Severo went to the cornerflag to take it. 55 minutes into the match, CasalGremista's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Lima came free, but Cacá Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kiko Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cacá Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Lima in the 57th minute of play. Kiko Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cacá Martins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kiko Novaes went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Baleia FC's Kiko Novaes got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Yan Lima made a precise shot to the right of Cacá Martins. CasalGremista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After 82 played minutes Baleia FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Penha. Miguel de Lara took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cacá Martins. Cacá Martins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kiko Novaes in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cacá Martins saved CasalGremista from getting behind. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CasalGremista's goalkeeper Cacá Martins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CasalGremista's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
