An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Cavalcante in the 15th minute of play forced Gladiators FC's goalkeeper Dieguinho de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovani Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieguinho de Salles having to interfere. When Luiz Fábio Hermes fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gladiators FC's protests and gave Luiz Fábio Hermes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Gladiators FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio Hermes to maneuver through the defense. 50 minutes into the match, Dinofauro FC's Leopoldo Brodel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovani Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Dinofauro FC's Dieguinho de Salles threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Geovani Castro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dieguinho de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovani Castro's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. A hard shot 67 in the game by Wanderson Cavalcante from a close distance when the talented Dieguinho de Salles managed to make a qualified save. Gladiators FC's players were relieved. A collision led to Gladiators FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Claudinho Arruda hit a great ball. Dieguinho de Salles was a little too slow when Geovani Castro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 0-2. Manfredo Recife struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Dieguinho de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dinofauro FC. After 79 minutes, Donato Tasso made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Gladiators FC's Dieguinho de Salles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Dieguinho de Salles managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Dinofauro FC's Wanderson Cavalcante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gladiators FC's José Maria Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murilo Teles came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Gladiators FC's Claudinho Arruda. But to his dismay, Claudinho Arruda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Wanderson Cavalcantes short, quick shot in the 99thth minute got Dieguinho de Salles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dinofauro FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
