Spectators: 6664 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when José Pedro Faria got the match started through his kick off. In the 14th minute, Cristiano Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes Domingos AD got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Negri. After having played for 19 minutes, Ian Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jejui AD - U23's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rodriguinho da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Jejui AD - U23 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Jejui AD - U23's zone, José Pedro Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Machado came out of the goal and José Pedro Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodriguinho da Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Faria in the 55th minute of play forced Jejui AD - U23's goalkeeper Carlos Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ian Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Domingos AD getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Walmir Cosme hit a great ball. Rodriguinho da Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Sampaio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Rodriguinho da Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogério Sampaio having to make a save. When José Vítor Negri was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. José Vítor Negri hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Ian Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Sampaio having to interfere. Domingos AD's Adalmo Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
