Claudinho de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rubens Simões came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the AS Guapos de Aço fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubens Simões couldn't finish the play. Rubens Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marrua's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 44 played minutes AS Guapos de Aço got a freekick which was hit by Josias Caro. Célio Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Diego Marinho made a huge save.

Laerte Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 92 played minutes, Marrua's Edgard Mendonça shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diego Marinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marrua reached it. Ronald Nunn lost his temper 95 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 95 played minutes AS Guapos de Aço got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Nunn. In the 97th minute, Edgard Mendonça sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AS Guapos de Aço's Diego Marinho didn't even have to move. AS Guapos de Aço's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
