The supporters of Indiarana SC booed when Varzearia AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubens Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubens Brodel had several of the Indiarana SC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Geovânio Quirino as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michel Bastos during the 39th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michel Bastos made a kick off. Varzearia AD's Washington Matorin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Varzearia AD from getting a goal against them. Michel Bastos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Washington Matorin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dino Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Washington Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rubens Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. In the 70th minute, Carlos Fernando Pirani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Pirani notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Indiarana SC's Geovânio Quirino. Geovânio Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
