After a defensive mix-up in Curaca EC's zone, Danilo Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson de Brito came out of the goal and Danilo Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Danilo Bastos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 17 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Emerson de Brito was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Veteraníssimo SantaBranca's Mehmet Emre Başkaya got a free kick in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Metin Nazir during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adelino Zanette struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Emerson de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veteraníssimo SantaBranca. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisão Mumbach in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Eduardo Hermes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Luisão Mumbach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Eduardo Hermes was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Adelino Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Luisão Mumbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisão Mumbach to make the kick off. Danilo Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Emerson de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Curaca EC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Breckenfeld hit a great ball. Emerson de Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danilo Bastos's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 76th match minute, Curaca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão Mumbach to maneuver through the defense. Veteraníssimo SantaBranca's Carlos Eduardo Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Veteraníssimo SantaBranca from getting a goal against them. Danilo Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson de Brito having to interfere. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Curaca EC reached it. Veteraníssimo SantaBranca's Carlos Eduardo Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Mumbach in the 96th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Veteraníssimo SantaBranca failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
