Perivaldo Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ediberto Baptista made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão da Rocha in the 9th minute of play forced Vallao EC's goalkeeper Ediberto Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ediberto Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulão da Rocha in the 11th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match Ernani de Castro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aníbal de Castro skillfully saved the ball. Vallao EC's Ediberto Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão da Rocha in the 17th minute of play. Rafa Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal de Castro having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, Vallao EC's Rafa Vergílio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aníbal de Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 40 minutes, Gildo Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vallao EC and the Brooklin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ediberto Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dedé Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulão da Rocha to make the kick off. In the 65th minute of the match Erasmo Macedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ediberto Baptista skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Vallao EC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gildo Corrêa hit a great ball. Perivaldo Salles might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ediberto Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Perivaldo Salles ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulão da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Brooklin's Paulão da Rocha in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vallao EC's goalie prevented a goal. Ediberto Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Passos during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Vallao EC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Passos. A nice corner shot did that Aírton Koehler got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ediberto Baptista quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vallao EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
