After a rather tough play, Vereda EC's Dida Santana got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 11th minute Renan Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro da Mata during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alessandro da Mata hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Umberto Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Campidelis's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Renan Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Cunha having to interfere. Silas Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Andrade in the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Juquitiba's zone, Vito Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto Cunha came out of the goal and Vito Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Umberto Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Ortiz in the 36th minute of the match. If Renan Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Douglas Campidelis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Juquitiba's Umberto Cunha got control of the ball when Renan Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Umberto Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Silas Moraes came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Juquitiba's Claudinei Andrade. But to his dismay, Claudinei Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vereda EC's goalkeeper Silas Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Renan Ortiz scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umberto Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Luís de Medeiros hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Silas Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinei Andrade's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Renan Ortiz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renan Ortiz got free with Umberto Cunha in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alessandro da Mata hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Pedro Luís de Medeiros sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Juquitiba's Umberto Cunha didn't even have to move. The audience was convinced that Douglas Campidelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Umberto Cunha was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 86 played minutes Juquitiba got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Teles. In the 88th minute of the match Pedro Luís de Medeiros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Umberto Cunha skillfully saved the ball. Douglas Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Cunha having to interfere. Juquitiba's Umberto Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Campidelis in the 93rd minute of play. Umberto Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
