If Renan Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sérgio Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Oséas Melo took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silas Moraes. Silas Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Sérgio Bittencourt made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Renan Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. Oséas Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Silas Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Douglas Campidelis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sérgio Bittencourt. The goal made the score 2-1. Renan Ortiz in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sérgio Bittencourt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Douglas Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Sérgio Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Bittencourt having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Vito Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vereda EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute, Douglas Campidelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vereda EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Renan Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Bittencourt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Douglas Campidelis struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Sérgio Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vereda EC. 66 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Tupã's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Campidelis came free, but Sérgio Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renan Ortiz in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio Bittencourt saved Clube Atlético Tupã from getting behind. Clube Atlético Tupã's Oséas Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renan Ortiz in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio Bittencourt saved Clube Atlético Tupã from getting behind.
