Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jaguar FC's Ismael Mota started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christiano do Vale who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Erasmo França when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 8 played minutes Estreito SS got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Arósio. After 16 played minutes, Jaguar FC's Cláudio Romero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erasmo França came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jaguar FC reached it. If Ruy Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Humberto Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismael Mota in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erasmo França saved Estreito SS from getting behind. If Wilton de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Coelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Santana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Nico Luz hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ruy Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ismael Mota blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo França having to make a save. In the 39th minute Ruy Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ruy Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Santana having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruy Coelho made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Jaguar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Pombal to maneuver through the defense. When Décio Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaguar FC's protests and gave Décio Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jaguar FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Décio Queiroz hit a great ball. Humberto Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Erasmo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Mota in the 61st minute of play. Jaguar FC's Humberto Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Jaguar FC from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the match, Jaguar FC's Christiano do Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erasmo França narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Estreito SS's Erasmo França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Mota in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Ismael Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Santana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but João Rocha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 75 minute of play. If Ismael Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christiano do Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo França. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christiano do Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute of the match Iuri Pombal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erasmo França skillfully saved the ball. If Christiano do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
