Guacui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leblon FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Guacui's Diego de Amaral got a free kick in the 6th minute. A collision led to Leblon FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Edson Ceresso hit a great ball. José Vítor de Toledo made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Edson Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. Leblon FC's Claudinei Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Mesquita in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Leblon FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Abraão came free, but Claudinei Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belchior Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belchior Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Leblon FC's Belchior Miranda got a free kick in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Guacui's goalkeeper José Vítor de Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edson Ceresso. Claudinei Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Guacui's Arlindo Mesquita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinei Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Edson Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leblon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Vítor de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Edson Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eriberto da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. José Vítor de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leblon FC. After 45 played minutes Guacui got a freekick which was hit by Diego de Amaral. In the 46th minute of the match Elói Baiano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Vítor de Toledo skillfully saved the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eriberto da Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. Júlio da Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edson Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. José Vítor de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Guacui's goalkeeper José Vítor de Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Eriberto da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 minutes of play, Leblon FC's Edson Ceresso made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Vítor de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diego de Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Claudinei Pinho made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Eriberto da Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of José Vítor de Toledo. Guacui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. José Vítor de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Natanael Peres was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. José Vítor de Toledo went to the wrong direction when Elói Baiano was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. But to his dismay, Edson Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Eriberto da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. Leblon FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
