Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amílton Britto started the match with the kick off. When Amílton Britto came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Araty FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílton Britto couldn't finish the play. Zé Augusto Magalhães was a little too slow when Ramón Freitas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. After some careless play in the Candumba defense, Amílton Britto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Augusto Magalhães. The Candumba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Augusto Magalhães should have stopped the shot. After having played for 14 minutes, Andrézinho Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candumba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Amílton Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Araty FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jacinto Silveira hit a great ball. After 23 played minutes Candumba got a freekick which was hit by Andrézinho Mandrak. Carlos Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Prata having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Carlos Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelson Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelson Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olavo Arósio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Magalhães made a huge save. Jonathan Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Araty FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Candumba for a fine match.
