Wanderson Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gil Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Britto in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Olympique de Marseille's Gil Messias got control of the ball when Gildo Britto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Wanderson Britto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gil Messias came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Misericordia's Gildo Britto. But to his dismay, Gildo Britto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gildo Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gil Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Gildo Britto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gil Messias was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Gil Messias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gildo Britto's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the Olympique de Marseille defense, Wanderson Britto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Messias. The supporters of Olympique de Marseille booed when Misericordia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Bras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafim Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Gildo Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Messias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Wanderson Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gildo Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Gildo Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gildo Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gil Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Misericordia getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Jonas de Amorim hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Misericordia fully deserved thier win.
