After 9 played minutes Bolaxa FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo da Fonseca. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Sanches in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Passos saved Sodrelia from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Francisco Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio Passos was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The supporters of Bolaxa FC booed when Sodrelia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes, Bolaxa FC's Romário Souza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hortêncio Passos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bolaxa FC reached it. Hortêncio Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Nuno Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hortêncio Passos. Sodrelia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hortêncio Passos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Ceresso in the 31st minute of play forced Bolaxa FC's goalkeeper Leandro Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Pedro Luís Martins in the 33rd minute really tested Leandro Sanches's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Montenegro to make the kick off. In the 66thth minute of the game Gilvan Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bolaxa FC's Leandro Sanches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute Sydney Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sodrelia's zone, Francisco Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Passos came out of the goal and Francisco Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sodrelia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! Hortêncio Passos had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Romário Souza's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bolaxa FC's Romário Souza shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Hortêncio Passos but with some difficulty. In the 88th minute, Agostinho Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes in the game, Nuno Sanches dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Francisco Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hortêncio Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Sanches's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Hortêncio Passos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Sodrelia's Agostinho Jacinto got a free kick in the 96th minute. Hortêncio Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Montenegro in the 98th minute of the match. The Bolaxa FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sodrelia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
