Dag Strömqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilbert Lennartsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luiz Bastos in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz Bastos in the 22nd minute of play forced washington's goalkeeper Gilbert Lennartsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, washington's goalkeeper Gilbert Lennartsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dag Strömqvist. 25 minutes into the match, Resistência FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Hoffmann came free, but Nestor Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulinho de Castro's late challenge caught a washington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nestor Rosa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Resistência FC's Paulinho de Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Lennartsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, washington's goalkeeper Gilbert Lennartsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dag Strömqvist. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maicon Pinho to strike the kick off in the second half. Nestor Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar da Cunha in the 52nd minute of the match. Gilbert Lennartsson came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Resistência FC's Leonel Paiva. But to his dismay, Leonel Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The Resistência FC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Resistência FC's Paulinho de Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute Dag Strömqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Lennartsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Lennartsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Luiz Bastos went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Resistência FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Luís Fábio Toscano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Dag Strömqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Resistência FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dag Strömqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilbert Lennartsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Fábio Toscano scored 4-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilbert Lennartsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulinho de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. washington's Gilbert Lennartsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Bastos in the 88th minute of play. Dag Strömqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Lennartsson having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, washington's goal looked a bit too open when Dag Strömqvist came free, but Gilbert Lennartsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. washington's Gilbert Lennartsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Bastos in the 96th minute of play.
