Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Júlio Mangueira started the match with the kick off. Glauco Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeca Vasconcelos in the 5th minute. After 6 minutes, Zeca Vasconcelos made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Roma's Glauco Barreto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Zeca Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes, Zeca Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Embauval SC and the Roma players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Embauval SC got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Vasconcelos. Embauval SC's Zeca Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Luiz Paulo Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeca Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Glauco Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Embauval SC. When Embauval SC's Zeca Vasconcelos in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Roma's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Vasconcelos in the 26th minute of play forced Roma's goalkeeper Glauco Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Zeca Vasconcelos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Glauco Barreto. Roma's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeca Vasconcelos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Zeca Vasconcelos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Glauco Barreto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roma's goalkeeper Glauco Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristóvão Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Barreto having to interfere. Fiori Chaves hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Cristóvão Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Favoretto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Embauval SC the free kick. Embauval SC's Ramón Rosa was substituted for Josué de Andrade. In the 49th match minute, Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Favoretto to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeca Vasconcelos made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Zeca Vasconcelos made a precise shot to the right of Glauco Barreto. Roma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeca Vasconcelos in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glauco Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Roma's zone, Zeca Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Barreto came out of the goal and Zeca Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Glauco Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeca Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Glauco Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeca Vasconcelos in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roma's goalkeeper Glauco Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Embauval SC were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Roma's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristóvão Pitta took the corner. The corner ended in Cristóvão Pitta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Roma's Glauco Barreto did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeca Vasconcelos in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glauco Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 73 minutes of play, Embauval SC's Cristóvão Pitta made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glauco Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Roma getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jairo Secco hit a great ball. Zeca Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Barreto having to interfere. After some careless play in the Embauval SC defense, Jairo Secco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio Valle. The Embauval SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio Valle should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Zeca Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Embauval SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glauco Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristóvão Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roma's Glauco Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Vasconcelos in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Zeca Vasconcelos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roma's Glauco Barreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 94 minutes, Marcelo da Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Embauval SC and the Roma players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcelo da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Júlio Mangueira hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Zeca Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Glauco Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Embauval SC. Embauval SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
