Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zézinho Santos got the match started through his kick off. Kiko Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Lara in the 5th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Nuno Fernandez notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of C.A. Indaiatuba's Kiko Mello. Kiko Mello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sossego's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Zézinho Santos scored to the left of an out of position Kaká Alvarenga, making the score, 1-2. With a little luck, Sossego's Kaká Alvarenga got control of the ball when Marcelinho Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, C.A. Indaiatuba's Marcelinho Fontes made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kaká Alvarenga was left in no man's land by his defense there! André Luiz Dias's late challenge caught a Sossego's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Luiz Dias helped the player get up and apologised. André Luiz Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Lara in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kiko Mello saved C.A. Indaiatuba from getting behind. Marcelinho Fontes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Kaká Alvarenga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 44th minute Roberto Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kiko Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roberto Lara was the one to do the kick off. Marcelinho Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Alvarenga having to interfere. Nuno Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Kiko Mello made a huge save. Kaká Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelinho Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes C.A. Indaiatuba got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Galvão. Sossego's Horácio de Alcântara shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kiko Mello but with some difficulty. Roberto Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kiko Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Sossego's Roberto Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kiko Mello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Nuno Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Sossego fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Fernandez couldn't finish the play. Nuno Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Kiko Mello made a huge save. Sossego's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
