To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Sandro Netto put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Thomás Nóbrega. Thomás Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Netto in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Luiz Guilherme de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vicentopolis FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Guilherme de Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
