The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Atlético Nonato defense, Laerte da Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinícius das Neves. The Atlético Nonato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinícius das Neves should have stopped the shot. After 14 minutes, Nildo Matorin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Nonato and the Vincere Pice FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claudinho Cardoso did an outstanding performance 15 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-2 to the right of an irritated Vinícius das Neves in the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlinhos Valle in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maicon Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th match minute, Atlético Nonato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Valle to maneuver through the defense. Carlinhos Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Maicon Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laerte da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Vincere Pice FC's Maicon Correia got control of the ball when Carlinhos Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vincere Pice FC's Maicon Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Vincere Pice FC from getting a goal against them. Natã Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Maicon Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Vincere Pice FC's Maicon Correia got control of the ball when Natã Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baltazar Paes struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Maicon Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Nonato.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlinhos Valle to make the kick off. Vincere Pice FC's Maicon Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Rosado in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Valle in the 53rd minute of play forced Vincere Pice FC's goalkeeper Maicon Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Antônio de Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Nonato's protests and gave Antônio de Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. Antônio de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Tomás Breckenfeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maicon Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Valle in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Atlético Nonato's Carlinhos Valle made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maicon Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Laerte da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Vinícius das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maicon Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Natã Rosado went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maicon Correia was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nonato's Sílvio Luiz Pombal got a free kick in the 79th minute. Jorginho França made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vincere Pice FC's Claudinho Cardoso. When Laerte da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Vincere Pice FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laerte da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Atlético Nonato's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
