Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Angelo França started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, José Pedro França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ijaci AD's supporters rose to their feet, but José Pedro França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fábio Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 4th minute, Silvério Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 5th match minute, Ijaci AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro França to maneuver through the defense. Balsas's Angelo França got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th match minute, Ijaci AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro França to maneuver through the defense. Ijaci AD's Murilo Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo França in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Rodriguinho Zanette left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ijaci AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luiz Fabiano Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Murilo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Balsas's Betão Meireles got a free kick in the 21st minute. Raí de Almeida took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fábio Cardozo. Luiz Fábio Cardozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luiz Fábio Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Monteiro in the 27th minute of play. If Luiz Fabiano Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fábio Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Murilo Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Matorin in the 38th minute of the match. Luiz Fábio Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute José Pedro França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Balsas's Betão Meireles got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Raí de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Cardozo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Raí de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Balsas's Luiz Fabiano Matorin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murilo Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luiz Fabiano Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fabiano Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ijaci AD booed when Balsas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ijaci AD's Murilo Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Matorin in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, Balsas's Luiz Fábio Cardozo got control of the ball when Tiago Monteiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Fábio Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Tiago Monteiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Angelo França left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balsas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Angelo França hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Luiz Fábio Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raí de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Luiz Fábio Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí de Almeida in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí de Almeida in the 95th minute of play forced Balsas's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Although Balsas had been in control for most of the match, Ijaci AD still came away with the win.
