Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adalberto Arruda kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Samuca Tasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Norberto Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Murilo Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes, Catupi's Rogério Mendonça shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agnaldo Quadros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catupi reached it. Nelson Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Agnaldo Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Catupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuca Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Fonseca having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Adalberto Arruda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Norberto Fonseca. The goal made the score 2-0. Murilo Pontes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio de Sena in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agnaldo Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuca Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Norberto Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Catupi booed when Trigolandia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emílio Guimarães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Agnaldo Quadros. Trigolandia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 47 played minutes Trigolandia FC got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Ferraz. When Antônio de Sena came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Catupi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio de Sena couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Nelson Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Trigolandia FC's Adalberto Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessandro Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alessandro Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alessandro Mineiro hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Samuca Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agnaldo Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio de Sena in the 80th minute of play. Adalberto Arruda took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norberto Fonseca. Norberto Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Alessandro Mineiro thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Norberto Fonseca, a very annoying self made goal in the 93rd minute which led to 5-0. Samuca Tasso scored 6-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norberto Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Trigolandia FC had played much better football throughout.
