With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kiko Duarte in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruninho Cerezo saved Vivo Keyd Stars from getting behind. 29 minutes into the game, Vivo Keyd Stars's Erivaldo Tróia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Augusto Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Kiko Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bruninho Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Macacu EC's goalkeeper José Augusto Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erivaldo Tróia. In the 51st match minute, Macacu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. Macacu EC's José Augusto Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Tróia in the 53rd minute of play. Telmo Medeiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Augusto Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Macacu EC defense, Clemente Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Augusto Couto. The Macacu EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Augusto Couto should have stopped the shot. José Augusto Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Augusto Couto came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Vivo Keyd Stars's Erivaldo Tróia. But to his dismay, Erivaldo Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cido de Queiroz during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Vivo Keyd Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Vivo Keyd Stars's goalkeeper Bruninho Cerezo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kiko Duarte. The audience was convinced that Erivaldo Tróia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Augusto Couto was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vivo Keyd Stars had won after a very even match.
