That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. A collision led to drink team getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cesinha Linares hit a great ball. Clemente Senna scored 1-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimond Lepsoo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruninho Maia's late challenge caught a drink team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruninho Maia helped the player get up and apologised. Bruninho Maia hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Maranhense made a kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Rodrigo Pires sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruninho Cerezo skillfully saved the ball.
