João Paulo Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Wesley Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wesley Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro da Silva in the 35th minute of play. Durval Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rebentao's Wesley Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Cavalcante in the 40th minute of play. Wesley Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 44 played minutes Rebentao got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Queiroz. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wágner de Amorim was the one to do the kick off. If Durval Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Durval Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deportivo Alviverde's Durval Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belmiro da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Wesley Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcinho Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Durval Cavalcante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wesley Correia having to make a save. If Ulisses Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Durval Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Alviverde's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wesley Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Alviverde's João Paulo Secco got a free kick in the 80th minute. Durval Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes, Gualter Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rebentao and the Deportivo Alviverde players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Gualter Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Durval Cavalcante got free with Wesley Correia in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th match minute, Rebentao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Alviverde played a much better game than Rebentao and deserved their victory. The Rebentao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
