Almir Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 17 minutes, Waldemar Félix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ousadia e alegria and the Bitumirim SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Waldemar Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ousadia e alegria's Almir Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ousadia e alegria from getting a goal against them. If Hernani Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Castro scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renatinho Diniz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Ousadia e alegria getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Valdir Castro hit a great ball. Donatello Paraense struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Almir Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bitumirim SS. If Donatello Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ousadia e alegria's goalkeeper Almir Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Donatello Paraense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Hernani Freire made the kick off in the second half. Renatinho Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Almir Garcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernani Freire's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Hernani Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Almir Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donatello Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bitumirim SS's Donatello Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bitumirim SS's Renatinho Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Marquez in the 82nd minute of play. Renatinho Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Marquez in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Ousadia e alegria booed when Bitumirim SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Adilson Marquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renatinho Diniz. Bitumirim SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adilson Marquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
