Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronaldinho Nunes started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Toledo during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Víktor Ferraz's late challenge caught a FAROL DO SABER F C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Víktor Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Taboquinha getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Víktor Ferraz hit a great ball. Taboquinha's Osmar Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Negri in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute Fabinho Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Taboquinha got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Ferraz. Ronaldinho Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Silva having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FAROL DO SABER F C's Gugu Arantes got a free kick in the 31st minute. Rômulo Goiano, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to FAROL DO SABER F C getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eusébio Saraiva hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Taboquinha's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Couto came free, but Osmar Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, one of Taboquinha:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taboquinha. Eliseu Hoffmann shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Taboquinha's Ronaldinho Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osmar Torres made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Fabinho Negri sent off a good shot on target. Fabinho Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Osmar Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fabinho Negri came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FAROL DO SABER F C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabinho Negri couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the FAROL DO SABER F C defense, Fábio Miranda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Silva. The FAROL DO SABER F C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Silva should have stopped the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
