Juarês Mandrak took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Barbosa. Vicente Barbosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Esporte Clube Serrasul's Juarês Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Castro in the 24th minute of play forced Esporte Clube Serrasul's goalkeeper Rafael Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Castro in the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes Esporte Clube Serrasul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Duda Mangueira who took care of the corner kick. Vicente Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Juarês Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Luiz Fernando Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Alessandro Gomes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Rafael Sá skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juarês Mandrak made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrézinho Silveira in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Barbosa saved Pedra from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Esporte Clube Serrasul's Kléberson Nogueira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kléberson Nogueira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Esporte Clube Serrasul protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kléberson Nogueira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Rafael Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Castro in the 59th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Pedra got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Zanette. After 71 played minutes Pedra got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Queirós. André Cearense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vicente Barbosa. Pedra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Andrézinho Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esporte Clube Serrasul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, André Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toninho Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Vicente Barbosa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andrézinho Silveira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 79 minute of play. Vicente Barbosa came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Esporte Clube Serrasul's Andrézinho Silveira. But to his dismay, Andrézinho Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Andrézinho Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporte Clube Serrasul's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 played minutes Pedra got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Campidelis. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Andrézinho Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporte Clube Serrasul's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrézinho Silveira in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrézinho Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Barbosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrézinho Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Andrézinho Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Vicente Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esporte Clube Serrasul played a much better game than Pedra and deserved their victory. The Pedra players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
