Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristiano Carioca got the match started through his kick off. Benedito Guimarães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Umberto Eger went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cléber Cosmes short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Guto Simão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Cléber Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thunders do Gu's supporters rose to their feet, but Cléber Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guto Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pitangui Sport Club's Guto Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Carioca in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Umberto Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Cristiano Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot. A very good chance. The supporters of Thunders do Gu booed when Pitangui Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pitangui Sport Club's Guto Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Cosme in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Cristiano Carioca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guto Simão. Cristiano Carioca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The Thunders do Gu fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Thunders do Gu's Hortêncio Mangueira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cléber Cosme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Guto Simão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristiano Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Guto Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Umberto Eger fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pitangui Sport Club's protests and gave Umberto Eger a yellow card for diving instead. If Cristiano Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Álvaro Messias made the kick off in the second half. Guto Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Cristiano Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Guto Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pitangui Sport Club's zone, Cléber Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guto Simão came out of the goal and Cléber Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thunders do Gu's Benedito Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Messias in the 64th minute of play. Cristiano Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thunders do Gu's Cléber Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Pitangui Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Guilherme Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. If Cléber Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cléber Cosme struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Guto Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thunders do Gu. Pitangui Sport Club's Álvaro Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umberto Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Guimarães having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Thunders do Gu's Raí Botelho got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Umberto Eger hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Thunders do Gu's Cléber Cosme in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pitangui Sport Club's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Carioca in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guto Simão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guto Simão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Carioca's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Thunders do Gu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
