Sandro Vinhas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandro Vinhas was a little too slow when Vicente da Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente da Silveira in the 17th minute of play forced Matarandiba SC's goalkeeper Sandro Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 2-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when Rômulo Furtado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Matarandiba SC's goalkeeper Sandro Vinhas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rômulo Furtado.

If Rômulo Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the E.C. Ordem e Progresso players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
