Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adelino Arce in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmílson Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmílson Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Gramados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Vianna came free, but Dráuzio Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elivélton Cruz got free with Dráuzio Almeida in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dráuzio Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Váldson Vianna's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Gramados FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Váldson Vianna 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 38 minutes into the game, Ҝαshiwα Reysσℓ's Elivélton Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dráuzio Almeida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Elivélton Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dráuzio Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ҝαshiwα Reysσℓ's goalkeeper Edmílson Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Váldson Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ҝαshiwα Reysσℓ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Váldson Vianna couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Vianna in the 57th minute of play forced Gramados FC's goalkeeper Dráuzio Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Álvaro Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Edmílson Godoi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adelino Arces short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Edmílson Godoi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 73 minutes into the match, Ҝαshiwα Reysσℓ's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Arce came free, but Edmílson Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes, Sidnei Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ҝαshiwα Reysσℓ and the Gramados FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gramados FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
