The supporters of Imperializador booed when Morena EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Morena EC's Tony Soares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 18th minute, Gabriel Toscano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrique Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Michel Lucas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agnaldo Mattos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 41 minute of play. Gabriel Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Imperializador were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Toscano made a kick off. Carlos Eduardo Moraes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Gabriel Toscano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imperializador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 61 minutes into the game, Imperializador's Gabriel Toscano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrique Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Imperializador's Rodolfo Baptista was substituted for Laerte Azevedo. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Morena EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Imperializador:s goal. The goalkeeper, Henrique Amorim, was totally fooled by Imperializador's Gabriel Toscano, who 67 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Michel Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Soares in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Mattos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Morena EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imperializador the free kick. In the 75th minute, Agnaldo Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rodolfo Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Imperializador's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Mattos came free, but Michel Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Gabriel Toscano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrique Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-7. After 89 played minutes, Imperializador's Albert Istrate shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henrique Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Imperializador reached it. In the 92nd minute João Augusto Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. After 96 minutes, Yan Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morena EC and the Imperializador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Morena EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Donato to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Imperializador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Morena EC throughout the match.
