Ronaldão Travassos made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Jairo Simões sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Jairo Simões put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ronaldão Travassos. Jairo Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldão Travassos was a little too slow when Jairo Simões got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas do Valle in the 19th minute of play forced Guaramiranga's goalkeeper Júnior Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Magalhães hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Luisão Furtado from long distance, 23 minutes into the match, got Ronaldão Travassos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ronaldão Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Simões in the 25th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Alagoa's goalkeeper Ronaldão Travassos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Simões. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Simões to make the kick off. Josué Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Alagoa's zone, Jairo Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Travassos came out of the goal and Jairo Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldão Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Simões in the 60th minute of play. In the 66th minute Jairo Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Jairo Simões notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Alagoa's Ronaldão Travassos. Ronaldão Travassos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 75 played minutes Alagoa got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Cunha. Luisão Furtado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronaldão Travassos. Alagoa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Simões in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldão Travassos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th match minute, Alagoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas do Valle to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Simões in the 89th minute of play forced Alagoa's goalkeeper Ronaldão Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldão Travassos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elói Bittencourt went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After 96 played minutes, Alagoa's Henrique Costa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júnior Carneiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alagoa reached it. Guaramiranga's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
