Rogério Ferraz took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Délio Lopes. Délio Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Délio Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. When Aníbal Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmitinhos's protests and gave Aníbal Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Palmitinhos's Aníbal Mazza got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Rogério Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogério Ferraz in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Délio Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Délio Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Ferraz in the 25th minute of play. Carlos Augusto do Nascimento succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 26th playminute. Rogério Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Lopes having to interfere. Carlos Augusto do Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Délio Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Augusto do Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute, Palmitinhos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogério Ferraz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 45th minute, Rogério Ferraz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Délio Lopes. The goal made the score 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fiori Tande to make the kick off. If Carlos Augusto do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Délio Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cambuca's Carlos Augusto do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Délio Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Ferraz in the 77th minute of the match. When Cambuca's Rogério Ferraz in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmitinhos's goalie prevented a goal. Rogério Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Carlos Augusto do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Cambuca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Augusto do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Palmitinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Ferraz came free, but Délio Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Carlos Augusto do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Carlos Augusto do Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cambuca's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto do Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Délio Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 minutes of play, Cambuca's Carlos Augusto do Nascimento made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Délio Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cambuca fully deserved thier win.
