An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Ferraz in the 25th minute of play forced Piranguassu AD's goalkeeper Felippe Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celsinho Cardoso went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Carlos Augusto do Nascimento sped through Piranguassu AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Felippe Moreno. In the 38th minute, Piranguassu AD's Jerônimo Mota dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. When Rogério Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Cambuca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Ferraz couldn't finish the play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogério Ferraz to strike the kick off in the second half. Celsinho Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Maurício Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piranguassu AD. Rogério Ferraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felippe Moreno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piranguassu AD reached it. After 72 played minutes Cambuca got a freekick which was hit by Doni Paraíba. Diego Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Pires having to interfere. The referee ignored Piranguassu AD's protests and gave Jerônimo Mota a yellow card for diving instead.
