Dé Valladares didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Placa's Enrique de Carvalho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Zé Carlos Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canhotinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Carlos Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Gustavo Cerezo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renatinho Pena went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Matías Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26th play minutes Enrique de Carvalho shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Dé Valladares and just under the crossbar into goal. Zé Carlos Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Luiz Gustavo Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Canhotinho's Zé Carlos Pernambucano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Gustavo Cerezo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The supporters of Placa booed when Canhotinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Carlos Pernambucano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Gustavo Cerezo having to make a save. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Renatinho Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Carlos Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Luiz Gustavo Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renatinho Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Cerezo having to interfere. Placa's Luiz Gustavo Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Pernambucano in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Placa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Vander to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Canhotinho's Zé Carlos Pernambucano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Gustavo Cerezo. Luiz Gustavo Cerezo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Luiz Gustavo Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Pernambucano in the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Placa's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Pernambucano came free, but Luiz Gustavo Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Carlos Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Luiz Gustavo Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Zé Carlos Pernambucano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Gustavo Cerezo was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Placa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Canhotinho were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
