Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edgar Brodel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Murillo Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 played minutes, SC Internacional PR's Egídio Alcântara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonçalo Fantini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Internacional PR reached it. 22 minutes into the game, Nils-Erik Kvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gonçalo Fantini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Brodel in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murillo Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in SC Internacional PR's zone, Edgar Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murillo Barral came out of the goal and Edgar Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aílton Vieiras short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Gonçalo Fantini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gonçalo Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Murillo Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murillo Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Brodel in the 35th minute of the match. Nils-Erik Kvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Gonçalo Fantini made a huge save. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Aílton Vieira put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gonçalo Fantini. Gonçalo Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aílton Vieira's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Amadeu Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonçalo Fantini came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Internacional PR's Samuel Brito. But to his dismay, Samuel Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Edgar Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Murillo Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Rodrigo Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes SC Internacional PR got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Jacinto. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Internacional PR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fluminense FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
