Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 2 played minutes Ipigua got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Trevisan. Ismael Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho de Godoy in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ipigua's zone, Vito Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Meireles came out of the goal and Vito Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th match minute, Ipigua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Bertassi in the 15th minute of play forced S. K. APOEMA !'s goalkeeper Gilvan Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tião Capixaba charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tião Capixaba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Tião Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elivélton Falcão hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Celsinho de Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ismael Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ipigua's Délio de Queiroz got a free kick in the 27th minute. Hélio Freitas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilvan Negri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Orlando Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hélio Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Ipigua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Freitas couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Bertassi to make the kick off. Gilvan Negri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Bertassi's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Ipigua's Tião Capixaba got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Tião Capixaba off the ground. Tião Capixaba hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 58th match minute, S. K. APOEMA ! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Délio de Queiroz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Celsinho de Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S. K. APOEMA !'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Celsinho de Godoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the game, Vito Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S. K. APOEMA !'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipigua the free kick. A collision led to S. K. APOEMA ! getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Vito Leão hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Anísio Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Meireles having to make a save. Celsinho de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubens de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Gilvan Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Freitas in the 76th minute of the match. After 78 minutes, Orlando Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipigua and the S. K. APOEMA ! players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ipigua getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Orlando Bertassi hit a great ball.
