After a defensive mix-up in Ariri SC's zone, Mauro Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara came out of the goal and Mauro Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corinthians's Enéas Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Urbano in the 11th minute of play. If Acácio Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aloísio Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Guilherme de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Acácio Bertassi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Ariri SC defense, Mauro Meirelles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Guilherme de Alcântara. The Ariri SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Guilherme de Alcântara should have stopped the shot. If Acácio Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, Mauro Meirelles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Guilherme de Alcântara. Ariri SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Meirelles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme de Alcântara having to interfere. Fellipe Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Aloísio Torres hit a great ball. Aloísio Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Rubens de Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariri SC and the Corinthians players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rubens de Amorim hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Ariri SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Brodel to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Acácio Bertassi made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Corinthians's Aloísio Torres ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luís Guilherme de Alcântara. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloísio Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Aloísio Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Acácio Bertassi came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Bertassi couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Telmo Vidal during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauro Meirelles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Guilherme de Alcântara having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Corinthians's Aloísio Torres ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luís Guilherme de Alcântara. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. In the 76th minute, Acácio Bertassi made a precise shot to the right of Luís Guilherme de Alcântara. Ariri SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Acácio Bertassi sent off a good shot on target. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Meirelles in the 88th minute of play. After 90 minutes Ariri SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Natanael de Senna who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Corinthians's corner Natanael de Senna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luís Guilherme de Alcântara quite easily take care of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Urbano came free, but Enéas Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corinthians played a much better game than Ariri SC and deserved their victory. The Ariri SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
